The food service industry has seen the advent of online delivery services (OFDS) due to development retailing and a rise in mobile phone usage. OFDS are growing popularity around world increasing use take-away packaging subsequent environmental implications from its production disposal. While large number studies have considered packaging-related effects, there been limited focus on effect OFDS-related demand environment, particularly relation greenhouse gas emissions. This study quantifies emissions associated with orders. Data for range most popular cuisines delivered by Australia were collected restaurants. assessment was performed using Packaging Impact Quick Evaluation Tool, which showed that single order ranges 0.15 0.29 kg CO2e, depending type. Of this, raw materials contributes at least 50%.
